Dear Sir,
I would like to perform Florence's Farewell, this July 4th, in a concert with the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra of Peru. But we simply cannot afford to pay any fees, the orchestra is Government Funded (but only to the extent that salaries for the players and principal conductor are paid. I as guest conductor (from UK - currently living in peru - see my blog www.knowmadicmike.blogspot.co.uk) receive no fee nor do any soloists. This will be my second concert with the orchestra and along with Copland's Fanfare your work would be the representative of the USA (as it is July 4) in a concert of miniature musical masterpieces!
It will make the perfect finale.
I hope you can accommodate my request.
